Tempted to start a policy of blocking people that have us remove their bid
It doesn't happen all that often, but it frustrates me that people think this is an option.
If you were at a live auction and placed a bid……you couldn't go and "undo" it, I cannot imagine anyone thinking that was an option. Why do people think they can do it here with these auctions?
Plus, if you ask for your bid to be removed its not something we can do, we have to send a request to support. Typically its handled very quickly.
I just think if you are so out of sorts that you need your bid removed…..I'm done dealing with you.

careful, sounds like complaining to me?

It is your business….. If someone is not following the established rules, then block them and do not think about it any further…..

IMHO, A bid is an obligation. If they cant fulfil their obligation they do not belong on GB.
If they dont pay, I would file NPB with support. Same amount of effort to file NPB as having a bid removed.

I agree with you……….THAT SAID………I did ONCE ask a seller (who is on the forums) to remove my bid, as 3-4 things happened at the same time, and knocked me down financially so far it took me years to recover. I'm STILL embarassed/ashamed to have had to ask that. This was 20 years ago, also.
Things happen.

how would I communicate with you then ????
Yep, your business, your rules. No time for nonsense like that.

The only time I defaulted on a bid was when I was bidding on a part to fix up a 1917 revolver for my brother who died during the bidding I sent a check with an explanation to the seller who sent it back. We have good people here.

I'm not going to do it….
I just had three seperate emails asking to cancel bids.
Some days I spend more time spinning my wheels than actually getting any work done….like today.
I've answered so many questions "did you get my FFL" when they can just look at their order and it is marked "received". I'm just extra frustrated by nonsense right now because tomorrow is THURSDAY and I'm nowhere near getting it all done this week.
