Update 10/17: We continue to work on the email delivery issue. As part of an attempt to fix this issue we have disabled the Saved Search Email process temporarily. We have disabled it for all email addresses so no saved search emails are currently being sent. We expect to re-enable it Saturday. Thank you.
Update 10/15: Message delivery for Yahoo and AOL continue to be delayed. We continue to work with these providers to resolve the issue however, the information they are providing states that our messages are blocked due to complaints. We continue to work to resolve this. Thank you for your patience.
Update 10/10: We are starting to see message flow for Yahoo and AOL. We have worked with Yahoo and our email service provider on this issue. We have implemented suggested changes to assist with the receipt of email messages. At this time, even though some messages are getting through, we recommend that you continue to use the My GunBroker sections of the GunBroker system directly to monitor your account activity.
We have set up a temporary email address that you can use to send a test message to and see if you receive a response. If you email: TestMyEmail@GunBroker.com with the Date and Time in the Subject Line, we will automatically respond to your message and include the subject line in our response. If you receive the response you will know things are working properly with your email system. The response should be received within 5 minutes of sending your message. If the response is received outside of the 5 minute window, there are still delays with your system. Remember that email messages can be retried if unsuccessful so it is important to include the date and time in the Subject so you know what message the response is related to.
Update 10/06: We continue to work on the email issue. We are seeing more messages being received and have received reports that more messages are being received. However, we are not confident that 100% of the messages are getting through. Please continue to use the GunBroker system to directly monitor your account activity.
Update 10/02: We are still working with our email service provider on this issue. The issue appears to be limited to certain domains / email service providers. The scope of the issue appears to be system generated emails messages such as Won Item, Sold Item, Bid Notifications, etc.. Please continue to use the GunBroker system to directly monitor your account activity.
Initial Report: We are receiving reports of issues with system generated and user to user email messages. We are looking into the issue. Reports indicate the issues may be with select email providers. We have been told both that messages are not being received and messages are being delayed.
We suggest you use the My GunBroker Buying and Selling views during this time to monitor your account activity.
