The ATF and GunBroker strongly advises you use the ATF FFLeZ Check web site to verify the validity of the license prior to shipping an item, even if the buyer provides you with a certified copy of the license. The information on the FFLeZ Check verification site is always accurate. If the certified FFL copy does not match the FFLeZ Check information, you should contact the ATF.

The ATF now accepts a faxed or emailed copy of a Federal Firearms License as proof of authenticity for verification.
ATF update to firearm shipments to FFL Transfer Dealer:
Per ATF (September 11, 2015): "Neither the GCA nor its implementing regulations require firearms be shipped only to the licensed business premises. Therefore, a licensee may lawfully receive firearms at the licensee’s mailing address, storage location, or other address where the licensee intends to ensure safe and secure receipt of the firearms."
