There are some circumstances when a user is able to login to their GunBroker.com account, but not have full access to the features on the site - some can be resolved by the user through links within the message shown, or the user is able to contact Customer Support for assistance.
If the account has the status Closed, the user is required to contact Customer Support for assistance. The most common causes for this status are:
- Unpaid balance
- Unresponsive to Support Issue
- Violation of User Agreement
If the account information for the account is invalid or a violation of the terms on the site, you are able to click the Edit Your Account Information link displayed when you login to update the account profile. Examples of invalid information or violation of the terms are:
- Invalid First and/or Last Name
- Company Information provided in the First and/or Last Name fields
- Invalid Address/Phone information
- Inappropriate User Name
Closed by User
If a user requests to have their account closed, they are presented with the option to automatically reactivate the account.
This status indicates there is another account profile(s) which is associated with the registration and/or login location for the account. Please contact Customer Support for assistance.
In order to provide a stable and secure environment for you to conduct your transactions, GunBroker.com requires complete and accurate information from all of users. When you register, using your personal information, we attempt to verify your name and address through a third party. If we are unable to verify the information successfully, your account will be set to "Failed Validation" and documentation to verify your name and address is required.
If you receive a Failed Validation message, please open a Support Issue and provide a copy of your driver's license or another state issued identification which includes your Date of Birth, as well as a current utility bill or other document showing your name and addressed registered on the account. If you did not use your personal location, please request your account be re-set so you can update the account profile.
If the user has provided international profile information, or is accessing the site from an international location, the account will have this status.
Note: GunBroker.com does not allow access to the site from anonymous proxy servers, VPNs, or any other method which masks the users actual location.
Accounts which are have account profile or login location information within the European Union, or other countries participating in the European Union, are not able to utilize the site at this time. The European Union has implemented regulations which prevent GunBroker.com from allowing business to be conducted from and to these areas.
If you failed to complete a transaction(s) on the site, and the seller completed the required Credit Request report, your account is suspended for a period of time. You are able to contact Customer Support for assistance for the time frame to request the account be reviewed for reactivation.
If there is a balance due on the account you are able to click the hyperlink Make a Payment within the status message to navigate to the Billing Information page for your account. Once you have made a payment to bring the account balance to $0.00, the account will be re-set to the previous status (normally Active). If the account is not re-activated, please contact Customer Support for assistance.
Requires Basic Validation
If a user updates their account profile information, the site requires the user to complete a third party identity check to activate the account.
There are a few reasons the account would have the status Terminated. You are able to contact Customer Support for assistance or to request a review of the account for reactivation.
- Failed to complete the Registration process
- Received negative feedback which caused the Feedback Rating to fall below the acceptable level
- Violation of Site Rules
If the account has the status Under Review, the user is required to contact Customer Support for assistance. The most common reasons an account has this status are:
- Another account already exists on the site
- Too many failed attempts to submit a credit card to the account
- Account profile updated and manual verification is required
- Credit Request report cancelled and manual review is required
- Increased number of negative feedback postings
